 Stay Safe in the Sun
 

Warmer temperatures and sunny days are wonderful but remember that the sun's rays can be harmful. Here are a few tips on applying sunscreen:

Put enough on. The recommended amount is 35 to 40 ml per session. This is equal to a handful.
Apply it correctly. Sunscreen should be applied to clean, dry skin 30 minutes before sun exposure to give the sunscreen time to absorb in your skin.
Spend time in the shade. The rays are the strongest between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m.
Overcast weather still requires sunscreen. 80 percent of ultra-violet radiation is still present on cloudy days.
