 Benefits of Yoga
 

Yoga is good for you. But do you know the physical and mental benefits of yoga? Here are some of the specific health benefits from doing yoga regularly.

Flexibility - Stretching your body in new ways will help it become more flexible, bringing a greater range of motion to muscles and joints. Over time, the flexibility in your hamstrings, back, shoulders and hips will improve.
Strength - Many yoga poses require you to support the weight of your body in new ways such as balancing on one leg or supporting yourself with your arms.
Muscle Tone - As you are getting stronger, you can also expect to see increased muscle tone. Yoga helps shape long, lean muscles.

A quick tip to relieve upper back stress: In your morning shower, stand with the water on your back and pull your shoulder blades together and massage your pectoral muscles. By massaging your pecs, you allow your ribcage to open up and relieve the stress you put on your back by pulling your shoulders together all day.
