Greetings,

The holiday season is almost upon us. Sure, it can get hectic, but if your holidays are like mine, you're spending time with the people you care about most. But don't forget to take a break for yourself. Try the simple meditation below.

 Certified labyrinth facilitator

I read about Mary Moskoff in the Wisconsin State Journal several weeks ago. Mary uses labyrinths in her practice as a psychotherapist. It's interesting that one of the ways she uses a labyrinth is on playgrounds where bullying is taking place among children

You can read the WSJ story here.

Here is Mary's web site.

 Speaking of products...

I was curious so I asked Assistant Spa Director Tammy Gillespie "what's the most popular product at Evensong Spa boutique?"

By far, she said, it's Decleor Circulagel, which is a natural, highly effective treatment for leg relief. Tammy also said "We sell tons of Prive styling products as well as Carita eye patches."

Oh, and the most popular service at the spa? Our signature Inner Journey massage.

You can visit our online store here.

 Simple meditation

Sit in a comfortable position, either in a chair or on the floor, with your back and head straight. Or you can lie down if you're more comfortable that way.

You can "warm up" with a couple of deep breaths. Close your eyes. Breathe through your nose. Really focus on your breath -- cool air in, warm air out. If your mind wanders, gently bring it back to the breath. Start with a 5-10 minute meditation and work your way up to a half hour or more.

"Let us rise up and be thankful, for if we didn't learn a lot today, at least we learned a little, and if we didn't learn a little, at least we didn't get sick, and if we got sick, at least we didn't die; so, let us all be thankful."
