"I can't believe it's August already!" How many times have you thought that? Said it? Heard it from others? Me, too.

Remembering the summers of your youth, does it seem that with each year you experience, the summer goes by faster? Me, too.

Meet Tammy!   Tammy is our new Assistant Spa Director. She is a massage therapist who has been working independently for the past five years, operating a massage and wellness center in the Fox cities for two of those years. Tammy's main role at Evensong Spa is managing the support staff. "The most rewarding part of my job is seeing our satisfied guests. I love coming to work at such a beautiful facility," Tammy told me. Tammy's favorite product is Prive's Foaming Styler.

Are Spas for Guys?   According to Conde Nast Traveler magazine, 35% of spa goers are male, and that number will surely increase in coming years. Men are learning that spas can offer them the kind of physical therapy that seeps into every aspect of their lives. Evensong Spa was designed to be a relaxing environment for both women and men. Our men's locker room features leather furniture and a 42-inch LCD television. While men are welcome to choose from any of our services, we have a full menu just for them. Click here to see it. Pet Peeves of Spa-Goers   A survey conducted by Small Luxury Hotels revealed guests' pet peeves when experiencing a hotel's spa. Here are some of the dislikes: Having to appear naked for treatments Having to use a co-ed sauna Using a sauna, steam room, or whirlpool without wearing bathing suits Receiving hard-sell tactics to spend more on spa or beauty products Click here for our response.

Yoga at Evensong: Exceeding our Expectations   We recently added yoga classes to our list of services and have been very happy with attendance, so much so that we will soon add more sessions. Class size is limited to six people, which makes it easier to really learn the postures, so you can take the knowledge home with you. I had the pleasure of meeting our instructor, Nicole, the other day, and I can see why people keep returning. We can also accommodate corporate and wedding groups up to 20 participants.
